Boise County is seeking a full-time Planning and Zoning Administrator to join Boise County’s leadership team of Elected Officials and Department Supervisors. The successful applicant will be a proven team leader with strong land use planning experience (min. 5 years preferred).
The Planning and Zoning Administrator is responsible for managerial, technical, and administrative development review under the general policy direction and guidance of the Board of County Commissioners. This person should possess the ability to collect, analyze, interpret and draw sound conclusions from both factual and subjective data pertaining to planning and zoning; supervise support personnel; work effectively with a variety of organizations and groups frequently having conflicting perspectives; make clear and concise written and oral reports; strong interpersonal ability to establish and maintain effective relations with others. This position requires considerable knowledge and experience working with federal, state and local land use regulations.
