Boise County Prosecutor’s Office has an opening for a Victim/Witness Coordinator. Primary function is to provide victims with information concerning their rights and the court process and procedures.  Position requires an individual who can work with a variety of personalities including victims and their families, law enforcement, attorneys, as well as counselors and medical staff when needed. Position requires regular grant reporting and application process every few years.  Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; all files, notes, and victim contact information is maintained in a web based system.  Position requires availability to occasionally respond to call-outs on weekends; principle duties are performed in a public office, but include responses to crime scenes, victims’ homes, shelters, or hospitals, which may include exposure to dangerous situations.  Must be able to pass a background check and random drug testing. 32-40 hrs/week  $16-20/hr DOE  Please send a completed application and resume to:

Boise County Property Appraiser Position opening, located in Idaho City, which is approximately a 45 minute drive from East Boise area.  This is a full time position (40 hours/week) will perform a wide range of duties.  Primary duties include performing on site property inspections and data entry.  Qualifications are: minimum computer skills, attention to detail, ability to work in extreme weather conditions (includes walking and or hiking steep terrain), ability to handle difficult situations, ability to communicate clearly (written and oral), Valid Idaho Driver’s License, and High School Diploma or equivalent a must.  Position will be paid $14.00 per hour, with the possibility of over $1 per hour increase within 1 year.  Benefits included are: Health Insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays and PERSI retirement.  To apply, submit to the following: (1) a filled-out Boise County application form; (2) a cover letter; and (3) a resume.

Boise County Solid Waste Department is hiring for the following positions.
Lowman Solid Waste Transfer Station. Permanent, Part Time (less than 20 hours per week). 2 days per week, Thursday and Sunday.  Idaho City Solid Waste Transfer Station, Permanent Part Time, (less than 20 hours per week).  2 days per week, Wednesday and Saturday.   
Site attendants perform functions in the operation of Boise County Solid Waste including manual labor, maintaining a sanitary collection site, security of site, buildings and gates, maintain waste logs and receipt books.  Equipment operating experience is beneficial, but is not required for all positions. Applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a valid Idaho driver’s license and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Transfer Site Attendant II Job Description

 Boise County Weed Department is now accepting applications for temporary seasonal work.  Opportunities for both certified and non-certified herbicide applicators are available.  Both positions operate application equipment to apply herbicides in the treatment of undesirable vegetation and are responsible for the calibration of and light maintenance for all application equipment. Certified Applicators provide limited professional advice regarding the identification, control, and management of most general vegetation, and all noxious weeds. Certified applicators must possess an Idaho Professional Applicators License for Agricultural Herbicide or Right of Way and Law and Safety.  Pre-employment Drug Testing is required. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Idaho Drivers License.
