Boise County Weed Department is now accepting applications for temporary seasonal work. Opportunities for both certified and non-certified herbicide applicators are available. Both positions operate application equipment to apply herbicides in the treatment of undesirable vegetation and are responsible for the calibration of and light maintenance for all application equipment. Certified Applicators provide limited professional advice regarding the identification, control, and management of most general vegetation, and all noxious weeds. Certified applicators must possess an Idaho Professional Applicators License for Agricultural Herbicide or Right of Way and Law and Safety. Pre-employment Drug Testing is required. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Idaho Drivers License. Boise County Planning and Zoning is now accepting applications for a part time, up to 32 hours per week, Code Enforcement Officer/Building Inspector. The position duties include but not limited to investigating complaints and enforces Boise County Ordinances in relationship to the Planning and Zoning Department. Perform standard building inspections of new and existing properties for compliance with the Building Codes. The position also will provide administrative assistance for building permits and planning/zoning duties. The position does require an active International Code Council Residential/Building Inspectors certification or the ability to obtain within six months of hire date or equivalent certification.
