Boise County Property Appraiser Position opening, located in Idaho City, which is approximately a 45 minute drive from East Boise area.  This is a full time position (40 hours/week) will perform a wide range of duties.  Primary duties include performing on site property inspections and data entry.  Minimum computer skills, attention to detail, ability to work in extreme weather conditions (includes walking and or hiking steep terrain), ability to handle difficult situations, ability to communicate clearly (written and oral), Valid Idaho Driver’s License, and High School Diploma or equivalent a must.  Position will be paid $14.00 per hour.  To apply, submit to the following: (1) a filled-out Boise County application form; (2) a cover letter; and (3) a resume.  The start date is anticipated to be early July, but is somewhat negotiable.

Road Bridge Superintendent Job Description

Boise County is seeking a full-time Road & Bridge Superintendent to join Boise County’s Leadership Team of Department Supervisors and Elected Officials. The successful applicant should have considerable knowledge of machinery, material, and methods of constructing roads, bridges, drainage systems, culverts, etc.; working knowledge of principles and techniques of
supervision; safety standards related to road and bridge construction and hazards common to heavy equipment operation; and working knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair. The Superintendent is responsible for the direct supervision of the Boise County Road & Bridge Department employees. The Superintendent delegates project responsibility to subordinates when necessary, and inspects work in progress to ensure quality and completion. All forms of recruitment; employee scheduling; daily records of work performed; monitoring road conditions; and department risk management. This position falls under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners. Starting salary dependent on qualifications, experience and certifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Boise County Solid Waste Department is hiring for the following positions.
Garden Valley Solid Waste Transfer Station. Full Time Regular (40 hours per week). Includes Full Benefits.
Lowman Solid Waste Transfer Station. Permanent, Part Time (less than 20 hours per week). 2 days per week, Thursday and Sunday.
Garden Valley Solid Waste Transfer Station. Permanent Part Time(less than 20 hours per week). 2 days per week Tuesday and Saturday.
Idaho City Solid Waste Transfer Station. Temporary as needed (less than 20 hours per week).
Site attendants perform functions in the operation of Boise County Solid Waste including manual labor, maintaining a sanitary collection site, security of site, buildings and gates, maintain waste logs and receipt books.  Equipment operating experience is beneficial, but is not required for all positions. Transfer Site Attendant II Job Description

 Boise County Weed Department is now accepting applications for temporary seasonal work.  Opportunities for both certified and non-certified herbicide applicators are available.  Both positions operate application equipment to apply herbicides in the treatment of undesirable vegetation and are responsible for the calibration of and light maintenance for all application equipment. Certified Applicators provide limited professional advice regarding the identification, control, and management of most general vegetation, and all noxious weeds. Certified applicators must possess an Idaho Professional Applicators License for Agricultural Herbicide or Right of Way and Law and Safety.  Pre-employment Drug Testing is required. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Idaho Drivers License.
